Help! Rollins and Lilly coming off DL. Who to Drop? WHIR

Postby medium_robin » Fri Apr 23, 2010 10:13 am

I have Jimmy Rollins and drafted Lilly late (but I'm pretty high on him). Both are coming off the DL soon, but I'm not sure who to drop! When J-Roll went down, I picked up Furcal. He's been hot and seems to be back to form. Help! 100% WHIR because I seriously need your advice!

Here's my squad:
C Kurt Suzuki
1B Kendry Morales
2B Chase Utley
3B Jorge Cantú
SS Rafael Furcal
OF Alfonso Soriano
OF Ryan Braun
OF Colby Rasmus
Util Álex Ríos
Util Shane Victorino
BN Carlos Quentin
BN Aramis Ramírez
BN Adam Dunn
DL Jimmy Rollins

Pitching
SP Ubaldo Jiménez
SP Josh Beckett
SP Tim Hudson
RP José Valverde
RP Carlos Mármol
P Franklin Morales
P Jorge De La Rosa
P Cole Hamels
BN Frank Francisco
DL Ted Lilly

do you need to drop 2? I would say Rasmus is most droppable of your team right now

I do need to drop 2. I will probably leave Lilly on the DL for a start or two just to see how he does. But my roster is frozen until I make a move once he comes back.

I figured Rasums and one of my closers (Frank Francisco or Franklin Morales) would have to go. I'm really big on Rasums too unfortunately. I think he's got a shot to have a nice year batting in front of Holliday and Albert. Maybe I'm just too high on my team in general.

I also thought about cutting Aramis Ramirez but that's probably a bit premature. Or I could just drop Furcal since he was already available on the waiver wire anyway.

See...this is why I need help, people!

I'd dump Furcal and Frank Francisco (or Morales if you think Frank will get the closer job back fairly soon).

I think that's what I might do. I'll probably drop Francisco for sure when Lilly comes off the DL. Basically, if I drop Francisco, that leaves me with 3 choices for the final drop...Furcal, Rios, Rasmus. Morales hasn't looked that bad in the closer's role. And I'm not as high on Rios as I was when I drafted him. Doesn't help that his team is playing like garbage!
