More Smoak questions...

im in a 12-man roto keeper league (save 8). me and 2 other guys were new to the league this year so everyone else has the powerbats at 1b and 3b locked up. This isnt a "friendly" league, most guys are retired and live for baseball....

i currently have Adam LaRoche and Daric Barton at 1b, not very strong but im geting by with them.
i claimed Ike Davis and will be dropping Venable as my DH and placing Ike Davis there.
So what do you guys think about dropping Barton for Smoak? Bartons obp and bb are hard to replace but has zero HR power and HR's rule roto leagues..... thoughts?

I would drop Barton for him. Smoak's strong in obp, and while the power is something of a question mark, playing in Arlington can't do anything but help.

Ok, I would also take Smoak over Barton so I'd go ahead and make that move. Would you guys give up on David Ortiz in a standard 10 team mixed league? To me, this kid is getting way too much hype but everyone seems to be buying it...I'm curious to see how good people think this kid is...thoughts?
