Dump Alexei Ramirez? Andrus available WHIR

Postby footballisbetter.com » Thu Apr 22, 2010 11:39 am

Is anyone jumping ship on Alexei Ramirez? Or should I wait it out to see if he ever lives up to his potential? Elvis Andrus is available and batting leadoff, compared to 8th or 9th in the order for Ramirez.

This is a points league, and I can't hold onto both.

1 point: single, run, rbi, walk
2 points: double, stolen base
3 points: triple
4 points: home run

Don't drop Ramirez. He takes less walks and steals than Andrus, but he'll have a higher average, and will definitely have more 2B's and HR's. I think the average/power from Ramirez outweighs the speed/patience that Andrus would give you. He also batted 2nd in the lineup 63 times last year, so there's a chance he might not be hitting 8th or 9th all year.

I think Andrus is more attractive leading off for TX...even hitting 9th. Depends what you need. Alexei will give you maybe 15/15 or a bit more, but Andrus will get lots of SB and R...I'd go Andrus unless you need the 15 HR. Alexei won't be hitting near the top of the Sox order.

Take Andrus. I would rather have the guy leading off. Alexei is a slow starter, so def keep your on him. I'm in the market for a MI in my league and with Alexei on the WW, I asked the owner of Andrus what it would take to get him.

Help with mine? viewtopic.php?t=409122
