Billingsley was just dropped. Should I try to pick him up and at least stash him? If so, who do I drop? Roster and scoring below. Yahoo 8 team points league. I would drop Marcum and put Fuentes in that RP spot, then pick up Billingsley. I wouldn't start him since he's in a slump, but he's got a ton of upside. In an 8-team league, I would focus on guys with upside like Billingsley's rather than keeping less impressive guys like Marcum, who have had nice starts but don't have top-20 SP potential like Bills.
Kuroda for Billingsley. Marcum is more a wild card because of his injury. He could end up being a top-30 or top-20 pitcher this year and he is at least a good trade piece.
If inches mean the difference in football then mm are the difference in baseball. I have both Marcum and Bills in my lone money league and one of Bills games a few nights ago. He already had issues with whip coming into the game and now has lost 4-5 mp on his fb. His fastball is at 89 right now. A young pitcher who must rely on control, especially one that had little to start with, is not what you want. Thankfully I droped him for Slowey. He's garbage. I know you probably spent a decent price for him on dra.ft day, but leagues aren't won at the draft. You'll get nothing for him, if there's anything decent on the ww then grab it fast
