Drop Garrett Jones for Kyle Blanks??

I'd rather have Blanks, mainly because I think he has more upside than Jones does over the course of a full season.

I'd stick with Jones, but I don't say that with a ton of conviction. I think he provides similar power and will get you 10 SBs or so.

Personally, I love Blanks, so I would take blanks. But not biasly, I would stick with Garret Jones for now, but be ready to bounce on Blanks if he gets hot, because he can really mash when he's feeling it.

i recently dropped G.Jones myself, but the situation was different than yours. in this case i'd hang with Jones a bit longer to get a better idea if blanks keeps it up and jones continues to struggle before pulling the trigger.

keep in mind blanks was a .300 hitter in his minor league career and he also stole a few bags. believe it or not he has good speed for a such a huge kid.
and i think his HR potential is a little better than jones too.

I'd go for Blanks, with the higher ceiling. Remember, at waiver wire level, frequently look for higher ceiling, as players with the same expectation are available.
