Giving up too much?

Postby T Long » Wed Apr 21, 2010 2:06 pm

I've been going back and forth with this trade

The latest offer was:
I get: Joey Votto, Chase Utley, Carlos Gonzalez, Clay Bucholz
I give: Adrian Gonzalez, Ben Zobrist, BJ Upton, Ricky Romero, Brian Matusz

he said he would do it if Romero/Matusz was changed to one better pitcher

10 team h2h non keeper

C. Ivan Rodriguez
1B. Adrian Gonzalez
2B. Ben Zobrist
SS. Hanley Rameriz
3B. David Wright
LF. Carlos Lee
CF. BJ Upton
RF. Andre Ethier
OF. Carlos Quentin
Util. Jay Bruce
Util. Lance Berkman
Bench: Howie Kendrick, Alexi Rameriz, Alfonso Soriano

SP. Yovani Gallardo
SP. Cole Hamels
SP. Matt Cain
RP. Chad Qualls
RP. Frank Francisco
P. Tim Hudson
Bench: Roy Oswalt, Kevin Slowey, Brian Matusz, Ricky Romero, Dice K, Brid Lidge (DL)

If i would throw in either Gallardo, Hamels, or Cain would that be too much, and if not who should I throw in?

I like this deal a lot for you. Would he take Oswalt?

Ehhhh... kind of a lateral move. I think CarGo's over rated.

Giving up to much IMO. Value wise its just about even minus Matusz. Adding him in makes it way too lopsided.

Help? http://www.fantasybaseballcafe.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=408716
League Setup:

6 Hitters 3 Pitchers (Positions don't matter)

I'd do it but not with Gallardo. Add in Cain or Hamels.

I wouldn't do it. I see Gonzalez as an upgrade over Votto, Utley an upgrade over Zobrist, Upton an upgrade over Gonzalez and Romero + Matusz is better than one Clay.

I don't think you're getting enough for what you are giving up.

I think you do it.

I like Votto better than A Gonz. Especially playing in Petco. And the chance to grab Utley is huge and potential league changer. The rest are bits and pieces that can be made up with good management
