Gonzalez is near the top of my "avoid" list, due to the above reason. He's a HUUUUUUUGE injury risk. I'm talking, I'd rather have Griff over him, risk.
Loaiza may be decent, but he ain't that good. A dude who's been awful for most of his career may get somewhat better, but not that much more.
Leaving Kearns. I like Kearns...I think he can get .295-25-95-10, but that's not not Bondslike...

Toast the bread and have some melted butter on the side please.
Actually, I believe I'm pretty safe on my Loaiza predictions this year.

I can't get over how many folks think they have the right to veto a trade for anything other than collusion.
Don't tempt me to put you in your place for this ignorant comment
Don't worry, for those of you who have read my encyclopedia of posts on this subject, I won't go there.
In any case, I'd like the Bonds side as well. I'm not sold on Loaiza, LGone could be on the DL for an extended period of time this year, and Kearns has a lot of upside, but he's a big injury concern who has yet to put together a full season.
I'd take Bonds and the two best guys on waivers over those three.
Are you guys sure you're not thinking of Dontrelle Willis instead of Loaiza?
I was pretty down on Loaiza last year, thinking he wasn't going to keep it up. Then I read about how he had added two new pitches. When he finished the year strong I thought "ok, now give the scouts all winter to figure him out and he's done" but it looks like he's pitching well again this spring.
for the record, I think he'll have an above average year, but not as good as last year.
Oh, and I'm for the Bonds side of this argument, although I'll admit you could argue either way with Kearns' potential and/or Bonds starting to finally wear down a little.

Loaiza only added 1 new pitch and it was a cut fastball. Plenty of threads here at the Cafe' about him, just use the "search" feature at the top of the screen.
