Braun for Hanley

Postby The_Idiot » Wed Apr 21, 2010 1:01 pm

I'm thinking no. This is a 5x5 Roto (10 team) Re-draft
I give Braun and Get Hanley. If I get Hanley, I would bench Gordon and move McGahee to CI.

My Position Players:
C - C. Santana
C - J Buck
1B - R. Howard
2b - A. Callaspo
ss - T Tuluwitzki
3b - R. Zimmerman
MI - C. McGahee
CI - A. Gordon
OF - R. Braun
OF - S. Podsednick
OF - J Guillen
OF - V. Wells
OF - J Willingham
UT - A. Jackson
UT - C. Maybin

Bench - Ian Kinsler (DL), Adam Jones (OF, Struggling), Jason Bay (OF, Struggling), Stubbs, Ellsbury (DL)

I would do this. Your mi & ci are the weakest spots on your team and you have a TON of good outfielders. There isn't going to be a huge stats dropoff, and you have more options at the position you're trading from.

Normally I think I would do it, but Braun is anchoring your outfield. I don't think it would look so solid without him. Your infield is fine with Tulo, Zimm, McGahee etc. So no I wouldn't do it in your case.

I would do this. Both have similar value, but you'll have a much easier time back filling the OF from the wire than your CI spot.

I wouldn't do it. Losing Braun kills your OF. They have very similar value. Yuor better off standing pat.

You have a couple of slumping OF, but more than enough depth in your OF.....

Hanley to replace Gordon or Callaspo is huge....

I would do this trade definitely.

Help with mine?

I agree. With Tulo it makes it a no brainer to not to do the deal. If you had a slightly stronger OF I'd say go for it because Hanley > albeit slightly than Braun, but as your team is constructed its not worth it.
