Regarding Carlos Santana...

"He tested well with the trainers," said Acta. "They feel that he doesn't have any serious damage on his PCL or ACL. Right now we're calling it a knee contusion. Once the MRI comes out we'll have more.

"But once again, the tests looked good."

This is great news. Significant ligament damage would have made it difficult for him behind the plate in the future. Knees are never the same again after bad ligament tears. I know from personal experience.

Santana was hurt Monday night in a home-plate collision with Boston's Ryan Kalish. Santana will have surgery Friday to repair his lateral collateral ligament. The Indians say the recovery time is four to six months and that Santana is expected to be ready for the 2011 season. The 24-year-old Santana made his major league debut this season. He hit .260 with six home runs and 22 RBIs. ovation as he was taken off.

Get well buddy! Gonna hang onto him in my keeper league and re-evaluate his situation next season. ;-D

In the meantime, go J.P. Arencibia (did I get that right?) O:-)
