Trade Quentin WHIR

Postby sleepyadam702 » Tue Apr 20, 2010 5:49 pm

The original idea is not going to work, but i was offered Yunel and McCann for Jeter. Would you guys take that. I'm worried because I lose out on SBs, but i could probably make another trade. What does everyone else think?

Jeter > Escobar and McCann > Doumit. So, the question is who has the better year, McCutchen or Quentin? I'm leaning toward McCutchen since he didn't have serious injury problems last year. But, he also doesn't have a full year in the bigs either. Tough one. If he really wants Jeter, try for Mauer instead of McCann. That would be enough for me not to worry about McCutchen vs Quentin. Probably won't take, but worth a shot

I'd say go for it. Quentin will probably get injured, and McCutchen is pretty solid. Doumit is not very good, and McCan would be a huge upgrade.

thanks for your help... I think you have to go for it, I'm not sold on Quentin's health in any event
For every Brett Myers there's a Nate McLouth...

thanks for the help. and thats a tough one. mccann is a huge upgrade over doumit, and i like Escobar, but Jeter has just gotten better with age. I'd try to get more for Jeter, definitely go after mauer, mccann may be an elite catcher, but his numbers arent eye-popping
