Yep. I've read that they may work him back slowly but that they intend to give him the job back.

I also don't know how much longer he will be available in your FA pool. Might want to grab him now.

right now my relievers are marmol, franklin, and hawksworth. im planning on dropping kyle blanks, considering i really wont use him

Hawksworth is definitely the drop. I'm not even sure he's next in line for saves if Franklin falters.

Yeah, lose the Hawk. Lidge is the closer and will be even if his ERA baloons to 7+. that was evident last year.

After Madson's implosion tonight, ruining a rare brilliant Kyle Kendrick start of 8 shutout innings, I'm guessing the Phillies can't wait to get Lidge back closing. As bad as Lidge was last year he still had a far better save conversion rate then Madson. For whatever reason Madson seems to have a problem pitching the 9th inning with a lead. BTW Madson's season ERA is now 7.71.
