C. Davis, E. Cabrera, or D. Stubbs?

Postby Doc19 » Tue Apr 20, 2010 8:54 am

Which player do you think will produce the most by years end in 5 x 5 roto? Our league has very deep rosters, so the WW is very thin...

I currently have them ranked: Cabrera > C. Davis > Stubbs

Cabrera seems to be the only one of the 3 that doesnt have any threat to full time ABs at this time. C. Davis has massive power potential, but is off to a very slow start and has Smoak to worry about unless he starts making some contact. Stubbs had pretty big hype heading into the season, but is also off to a slow start and seems to be platooning with Dickerson... Have to decide whether to place a waiver claim on Davis and would likely drop one of the other two players; I would not be burning a high waiver priority pick.

Will gladly help in return, please leave a link...
Thanks for your help!

I would rank them the same way....Cabrera>Davis>Stubbs.

I would wait on Davis though. He might sit on the WW because of his struggles early this year and how he struggled last year. I would keep an eye on Davis and look to add him latter if he starts to put it together.

Thanks for the help with mine

Thanks for the help on mine. I'd go Cabrera, Stubbs, and then C.Davis. If Davis doesn't get it going soon, we'll see Smoak replacing him by early May at the latest. Davis's leash this year is extremely short.

Thanks for your help with my Lind/J-Up question.

As for this, I would rank Everth, Stubbs, Davis ---- although it is close on the latter two because Davis has Smoak breathing down his neck, but Stubbs could get lost ABs to Dickerson . In any even, Everth is my pick because he will be good for the SB and I think has potential to really get better on that young team.

I agree that Cabrera should be ranked at the top. I actually had both Cabrera and Stubbs on one team and Davis on another. I'm not ready to give up on Cabrera yet because he has his job set in stone, and his wheels are enough value to keep him. He's a player who can single-handedly help you win the SB category. Davis has a ton of power potential but will lose his job within 3 weeks to Smoak if he doesn't start making some contact. Stubbs is a good player, but Dickerson has been hitting well and is earning a platoon, so you'd have to live with Stubbs getting several days off.

I'd just go with Cabrera and Stubbs at this point.
