IBANEZ worth a waiver? whir

Postby Trebor » Tue Apr 20, 2010 2:33 am

check our league specs (small rosters, 10 batting cats) below before answering plz...

Im gonna dump Borbon when I activate Big Puma...seems C.Youngs fallen back to earth so thinkin of dumpin him for Ibanez using a waiver (have 8 spot).

YES, burn the waiver on that exact move?

NO, save the waiver and maybe grab Ibanez if he clears waivers?

NO, NO, stand pat, let some1 else take on the old man with the sub .200 avg?

Ibanez was dropped in my league a few days ago. I put a claim in, #11 on the 12 man waiver claim priority list, and to my surprise I got him. I really can't believe no one else wanted to give him a go. I suppose a lot of managers are rolling with the team they drafted as it is only week 3 now. But still, I can't really believe that Ibanez is done. I dropped Austin Jackson to get him in, which I didn't really want to do, but he has little power and rookies will usually fall back down to earth. The strikeouts are a bit nasty there too.

I'd say this early in the fantasy season, make a play for Ibanez. You can always ditch him if you get impatient and he shows us little improvement in the next 1-2 weeks.

I think dumping Borbon so soon might be a bad move. Its only 3 weeks into the season!!! He just had another wicked game tonight in Beantown, Dump CY and activate Puma, and stand pat on the old often injured Ibanez. Let him be..... The SB's that Borbon delivers (2 Stolen Bases tonight) ARE GOLDEN!!! ;-D
