I know this is a hindsight is 20/20 thing, but I just don't think the Red Sox reloaded correctly in the winter. They really needed a big bat, their line up just looks mediocre to me.

I'd say that's about right. Of course injuries to Ellsbury and Cameron don't help, but I wouldn't be surprised if this team ends up closer to a .500 record than they do contending for a playoff spot. It's early and a lot can happen, but they seriously lack an identity right now.

Lackey is a horse etc, but do you think they should have just bit the bullet and traded for Prince or A-Gonz and used the Lackey money to extend them? I do.

I think they should have done whatever it took to sign Halladay instead of overpaying for Lackey.

I think they should have done whatever it took to sign Halladay instead of overpaying for Lackey.
You mean traded for Halladay (which would have assuredly cost them the hyped Casey Kelly).
I was kind of surprised they decided to sign Lackey as a plan B. He really isn't that good.
