Absolutely Awful at a Phillies Game

My take on this:

This is why no matter how many times they deny it, the city of Philadelphia has the worst fans in America. I lived there for 4 years so I'm not making a statement without firsthand knowledge, and have been to many cities to watch games. And if you want to make the argument that it's just some isolated drunken fans who do this, then why do all these stories seem to keep coming out of Philly? Bottom line, I wouldn't have gotten upset if the police beat him to death.

That's terrible. I would never go to a game in Philly.

I went to the Jays game last night I was actually booed every time I stood up . I was in the second row behind third base and I wore my Montreal Canadiens jersey and I got roundly booed all game long. It was fun though. There were some "Go Habs Go"s thrown in there and I got a few high fives. It was all in good fun.

When I was a teenager I was already a die-hard supporter of Canterbury, a rival of the local rugby team, Taranaki, and used to go to games decked out in full Canterbury garb.
I got more then a few beer baths when my team would inevitably crush the local crap, I mean team

It's when people don't understand "all in good fun" that things get out of hand. Being sprayed with beer is not big deal if you're asking for it, being spewed on is.
