I was offered Cliff Lee, Chad Qualls for Russell Branyan, Jayson Werth

Werth is a good value in my keeper league. I have him through 2012 and he costs me a 14th round pick in 2011 and an 11th round pick in 2012.

As you can see, I have Bailey and Broxton as closers but they aren't producing much in terms of saves right now. Surely they will eventually produce the saves, so I don't want to panic. I am currently 1st place by six points.

In a category break down I am middle of the pack in ERA, decent in K's, though its early. WHIP is a bit high, but eventually it will get lowered I think. I am also a little short on HRs.

League variables: only allowed 180 total starts for SP. After that they don't accrue.

So, does this trade make sense for me? It would be nice to have a third closer and he would replace George Sherrill. I have already bid on Brad Penny off on FAAB and will likely land him.

As for The DL concern, the trade will be put in suspense mode until Lee is off of the DL.

I think the value of the players in total is pretty close. It just comes down to whether or not you want to part with Werth?
