Pass on this one - you'd be getting hosed. Right now there's not even assurance that Lidge gets the job back if/when he ever gets over his latest injury. Kubel has his weaknesses but he blows Damon out of the water as a fantasy player at this stage of their careers.

There are always speculative saves guys out there - which is precisely what Lidge is now. Hell it's a 10 TEAM league - I wouldn't take a junk deal just to get in on the game. Go grab Thornton, Adams, Gutierrez, Jim Johnson, Lyon etc etc and do it on your own terms

Thanks for the opinion...
I wasn't sure if I was too high on Kubel I needed some unbiased input. I will look elsewhere for a closer

Just scan the waiver wire for closers. You'll be able to nab one eventually. Is Rodney, Gregg, Johnson available? Lidge is anything but a sure thing anyway.

Don't do the trade. Lidge is nothing special, and there should be some guys on waivers like Rodney or gregg, and maybe down the line Qualls might lose his job to Gutierrez.

Help with mine
