power potential goes to Young. Young could get 20+ where Span might never have more than 10.
SB potential i would give to Span. he could go 20+ but will Young get that much?
Span is leading off for the Twins so hes going to have more R.
Young is batting lower in the order so hes likely better for RBI.
for AVG despite Young currently having .351 AVG compared to Span at .189 AVG i would still give that edge to Span. IMO Young strikes out too much to ever have above .300 AVG.
even though Young is hitting .351 AVG i really dont see him above .300 AVG and would be surprised if he could even stay above .280 AVG. the highest he has had in the majors is .248 AVG.
if your looking for more HR/RBI with some SB and can live with a bad AVG then i could see going with Young, but if you want more R with more SB and a better AVG i would go with Span.
i might be leaning more towards Young. hes going to have more HR and RBI. Span could have more R but thats going to depend on the other batters behind him for the Twins.
Span will likely never have more than 10 and IMO even the 8 from last season might not be repeated. Young has already had 32 HR so you know the power is there.
at first i was thinking Span, but now i think im talking myself into Young. just dont expect Young to maintain a good AVG.
hope i could help some.
help?
