Hanley MIggy Braun Multi Team Trade

Postby rasto21585 » Thu Apr 15, 2010 10:05 pm

I am contemplating doing this multi-team trade. Please tell me if I should do these series of trade.

trade #1 justin morneau and bj upton for miguel cabrera and chris coghlan

trade #2 miguel cabrera and jon lester for ryan braun and billy butler

trade #3 ryan braun howie kendrick and ryan theriot for hanley ramirez, wade davis/mark derosa and mat gamel

Is it even worth it to do these moves?

I can see doing the first deal to get Cabrera since I think he's the superior player. However, I'd wouldn't deal Cabrera and Lester. Lester seems to be your best pitcher and I don't think Davis will fill that void.

So do you think it's worth it to do the first trade then?

I don't mind the first deal and actually, I don't mind #2 and #3 either. However, you do weaken your pitching staff considerably without Lester.

I was hoping maybe to make a trade after these to get a better sp. Do you think I have the pieces to make this move?

Also I could actually go for hanley without doing the braun trade. I would have to deal miggy kendrick and theriot for hanley and davis. The only problem here is that I won't have a 1b.
