For anyone who is unfamiliar with either Top Gun or Chris Davis.
Synopses:
As a pilot, Maverick was very wild and inconsistent. So much so that he ended up alienating his colleagues and killing his best friend. Yet despite all his shortcomings, the hot female instructor couldn't resist his potential, and decided to engage in a blue room sexual escapade with him. And oddly, even though the hot instructor wanted him, he thought it would be fun to hang out with a bunch of shirtless men playing volleyball. Moral of the story: he just wasn't reliable.
As a hitter, Chris Davis was very wild and inconsistent. So much so that he ended up alienating fantasy owners and killing their average and K categories. Yet despite all his shortcomings, fantasy owners couldn't resist his potential, and decided to waste a roster spot on him all year. And oddly, even though the owners were counting on him, he thought it would be fun to stand at the plate and pretend to be a windmill. Moral of the story: he just wasn't reliable.
