Fowler or Marcum? whirligig!

Postby The Mighty Trow » Thu Apr 15, 2010 7:31 pm

Ten team roto - 6x6 (OBP not AVG, Triples and Quality Starts.

c- soto
1- votto
2- uggl
3- sandoval
ss- hanley
ci- prado (loney, headley)
mi- alexei (ramirez, aybar)
of- kemp, upton, granderson, rasmus (fowler)

sp- beckett, nolasco, baker, slowey, floyd, cueto, sheets, cj wilson
rp- valverde, qualls, thornton

My thinking here is that I don't really need Fowler's platoon situation. My outfield is super strong through the first three players, so its not like I need to play Fowler's matchups to get my stats. Rasmus is good for a fourht OF and Headley has eligibility.

My pitching though... strong 1 and 2, but after that its mediocrity with as much upside as downside. I feel I can afford to let go of Fowler and take a chance on Marcum.

WHIR, always WHIR!

Do it!!

You can always use the spot as a flavor of the week pickup. Look at what pitcher is throwing hot and has a favorable matchup (or has a strong suit in a category you need: like a Masterson for his Ks) and plug him in. It's very liberating.

You don't need Fowler ... at least not now. He and Reimold are stuck in platoon hell.

help me out?
