Catcher question! Which one? WHIR!

Postby Brizee8 » Thu Apr 15, 2010 7:25 pm

Here's my dilemna: Mike Napoli is my only catcher, but he seems to have drawn the wrath of Scioscia and almost never plays. I'm trying to figure out if I should drop him and pick up a free agent (there aren't many).

Here are the catchers available:
Ivan Rodriguez
Miguel Olivo
Chris Snyder
Jeff Mathis
Jason Kendall
John Baker
John Buck

I know it's slim pickins. Are any of those worth dropping Napoli for?

Pick up Pudge for now. He's surging and so are the Nats.

If he starts to slump, drop him like a rock and go for Snyder (who HAS a recent history of being fantasy relevant)

I'd wait it out with Napoli. Too potent a bat to give up on this early.

There seems to be some good catchers out there...I would get Pudge. If napoli is not playing he is loosing you points right now.

Basically, if you have room for Pudge or some scrub worth dropping for him then go ahead and make the move.

If you are in a roto league, you will want to bench Napoli then and start another catcher. But if you are in a head-to-head league, you may as well stick with starting Napoli and pray.

I still think it is too early in the season to give up on Napoli, however.

Please help me out with mine? viewtopic.php?t=408013
