I too have done this, it hurts. I've been zapped by a 220 plug as well....that REALLY hurts. I had to sit down for a while after that one.

Also that same brick saw I mentioned would give minor zaps if you were cutting brick in the rain(I know, no kidding). It actually felt like a a volt does on your tongue but through your hands, so not bad enough to make you jump but just weird and uncomfortable. You could feel it through your gloves even.

Where would I get zapped by 440? So I can be sure to avoid going near it.

i believe 440 is what they use to run large industrial machinery
Well then I will stay away from large industrial machinery.
