Yeah, at this point I\d probably pull the trigger on that. Mind you, I dropped Naploi for Clement in one league, so Ianetta looks pretty good in comparison.

Is there anyone else decent on the wire at C, or is Ianetta obviously the cream of the crop?

Why the hell would you drop a catcher who will end the year with a 265+ average and hit over 20 hrs?

Its the second week, the guy has not even got jock itch yet.. ...

Do not jetison your high pick/dollar investments at the start of the season!!!!!!!

Nappy will be fine.. he was allways a streaky hitter.. roll with it and he will reward you .

I disagree. He's not even playing as much as he normally does at this point and the outlook there is poor. Yes, Napoli is a set and forget player who isn't going to get you full games, that's a given, but he'd need to at least match last year's ABs to warrant keeping, and right now it doesn't really look like he'll mange that.

To the OP - if you have the roster space to platoon Olivo and Ianetta then you should definitely do that. At least until one guy proves he's going to get the lions share of the starts and someone better comes along on the wire.

If you haven't drooped Napoli already, the question is....why haven't you? Unless there is absolutely nothing else better worth rolling with, or filling your roster space with, ditch him. Mathis has the better end of the time share there, and unless Godzilla gets hurt playing the OF, you're not going to get enough value from the odd place Napoli might get DH duties.

You have to follow your own advice on this I guess.

I win championships off guys that do this stuff every ear.

2 years ago I got Longoria in April
Last year Tulio

I would wait.

Yeah yeah, we get it, Napoli was worth owning last year even though he didn't play a full slate of games. That doesn't mean he's worth owning this year, and it you can't see the difference between this year and last year then your chances of repeating that championship might be slim. Just sayin'...

Nap currently hitting 18hr/44runs/45rbi with a .254 average... sounds like a damn good catcher to me.
