Your only debate is you are worried that the commish vetoes it. does something happen to your team if it gets vetoed? Do you get kicked out of the league if a trade gets vetoed? I dont understand the debate here. Its a no lose situation. Im thinking you ae writing this post for attention because I see no reason to argue whether to accept this trade or not.
Some leagues something like this could start a nasty debate on. My advise on that is to accept it as long as you can take a little criticism and a veto. Worst that happens as was noted is the Commish scolds you and squashes it. I would not be one to try to argue the merits of it though to the commish. That will usually start a nasty debate and tick the guy off for any future trades.
I have commished leagues where this sort of thing happens and the guy losing out starts arging with me thinking he can con the commish like he conned the other owner and will not understand or accept a contrarian view from the person enpowered to make that call. It does not sit well usually with either side. Sometimes you just have to accept the fact that it might get vetoed and if it does you just re-work it or move on. That seems like an obvious point, but you would be surprised how many times people will continue to try to argue a point they know to be generally borderline at best or outright ridiculous at worst.
