Elvis Andrus was ranked well above Alcides Escobar when the season started. How do you think these two players will play out? I see them as VERY similar players, and if Escobar ever gets bumped up in the lineup he should put up outstanding numbers. Who do you see as the better player by the end of the year?
Well I think Escobar will be the better baseball player, but for this year I'd go with Andrus. Macha doesn't like to run all that much and doesn't really trust rookies very easily. I think he'll play full time but it might take quite some time before he moves up in the order.
Elvis. He is 2 years younger, has better tools, and already has more major league experience. He will be better this year and in the future.

Escobar has better tools~.
I am going to have to disagree with you on that front. Escobar put up better numbers in the minors than Andrus, but was always about 2 years older than Andrus at every level. Both have speed, neither have real power, Escobar has hit for a better average in the minors, but Andrus will hit for a good average as he ages.
