In my minor league system I have Austin Jackson, Michael Taylor, Logan Morrison and Shelby Miller, among others.

We have 5 DL spots. Should I take David Aardsma for Cahill? (I know I could use a SP, but so does everone in the league)? Or just stay put?

talking about long term value, even if Aardsma leaves Seattle next year, he still remains a solid source for Holds.

Definitely prefer Aardsma over Perez. I'd probably pull the trigger.

Yes I'm likely doing that...I don't see Cahill becoming a can't miss ace, and there are prospects that will always pop up to replace his production. Look at Mike Leake this year. Aardsma will have value even as a set-up man as well, as was mentioned above.

I would do it. Cahill is going to be good, but probably not for another two seasons or so.

Make this trade, Aardsma is a good player and I think the Mariners will improve and give him more save chances.
