Condolences to David Ortiz's career

Postby HipHipJorge » Wed Apr 14, 2010 12:36 pm

If anyone has been watching the Red Sox recently, you have noticed a sad trend toward the death of David Ortiz. He is now officially finished folks and as a Red Sox fan I would like to send him off with some well wishes.

So, please feel free to post any David Ortiz stories here, may God bless his soul. Amen.

Pretty much. I cut him in a shallow 12 teamer for Paul Konerko and he cleared waivers. They'll probably get the same numbers and I'd rather not have my Lance Berkman fill in suck it up.

the david ortiz highlight of his career to me, as a yankee fan, is when he critized players for using steroids and said they should be out of the league for a yr if tested positive.....then ortiz tests positive, and he has nothing to say. i think da shiz has the links in his sig. classic. won't be missed by yanks fans. ;-D

What is it like 6 games into the season. Mark Teixeira is batting .111 which is lower than Ortiz, is his career over. Pretty sure April is always his worst month and last year he hit the most HR after June. I would give it a little bit before you say his career is over.

Memories: 2004 was pretty epic.
With all the walk-off chaos against NYY, I think Papi got one in game 4? I think I remember that right.

I'm not really pro or con either NYY or BOS, but that was one of the best series of games I've ever watched. :-L

It's really not Ortiz's fault he is going to lose a starting gig. Lowell has been forcing Tito's hand for quite some time now:

HAHA.

That ALCS in 04 was classic. Epic production by David. Clutch, made him Big Poppi.

And just to be clear, I am not talking about Ortiz's fantasy career, which may or may not be over, I am talking about his real life career. His real life career is dead. He is not the same player and has not been for 2 years. .238 avg. .098 with runners in scoring position. Almost a K a game. He is finished my friends.

We need to send David out on top! He deserved it for ending the reign of terror that was the NYY evil empire.
