I was offered the McCann\McLouth end of the deal. I think it's pretty good value considering McLouth is off to a bad start this year. THoughts?

Jump at this! McCann is a stud. awesome OPS and mclouth will put up decent numbers. ive been concerned about vmarts numbers. they will likely bounce back, but i think mccann will make up enough for it himself.

you havent accepted this yet? lol
perhaps if you post your lineup we can have more input.
The only possible reason I would consider keeping vmart is the fact that he also plays 1b, so if you have a weak 1b that may come into play.

Ive got Tex at 1st. I guess my hangup is I really think McLouth will be a bust this season. But I do think McCann could be better then VMart this season. What to do...

I would take McCann for VMart straight up just because I think McCann is awesome; however, VMart would get more RBIs with a good Red Sox offense. That being said, I think the BoSox are OVERRATED and I would take this deal irregardless.

well if hes willing to give mclouth and you dont think he will do well, he would be willing to give someone else with potential i would assume.
post the person's lineup, and lets see what kind of counter offer can be come up with.

you can also use mclouth as trade bait somewhere else, depending on what ur needs are.

mccann is about as good if not better then vmart. They are interchangeable. Basically, your getting nate mclouth for free... which some people dont even want, but depending on your OFsituation, its not a bad deal at all honestly. I prefer mccann over vmart anways.
