This is a simple, but I have noticed some players stats say that their OBP is less than their average. How is this possible? Lets assume zero walks, your OBP should still equal your average because you are on base every time you hit... am I missing something?

Sac bunts/flies.
They don't get counted as an AB, so they don't come out of your AVG but they do count as a PA, so they come out of your OBP.
0-3 to 4-3. Worst choke in the history of baseball. Enough said.

Alex Sanchez was way worse than Pierre at this. Alex Sanchez in 2004 had a a batting average in the 320s that exceeded his OPB well into May.
