* Drop Frank Francisco for Jon Rauch?

Postby StealingHome » Tue Apr 13, 2010 3:46 pm

When healthy, Frank Francisco was good last year. Rauch is hot with 5 saves, but I haven't seen him pitch. I don't know what his stuff is like. Should I drop Frank Francisco for Rauch?

Help, please.

Yes. I have Francisco in one league and I'm trying to be patient, but if Rauch was available I'd make that switch in a heartbeat.

Nathan is out for the season...I'd do it.

I think you've got to do it, because Francisco is a big question mark right now and Rauch is becoming more and more of the man all of the time in Minnesota. Better thing to do would be to deal Francisco for some small piece and then drop someone else for Rauch.

This is what I weighing...

Minnesota has really good team defense, but Rauch's past numbers aren't that great.
Texas plays in a "hitter-friendly" park, and their team defense was 5th worse in all of MLB last year. But Franciso was pretty good and averaged over 1K per inning pitched last year.

What to do? Should I wait it out with Francisco?

Ideally I think you fnid someone other than Francisco to drop for Rauch. Rauch should be owned in all formats at this point, but you can certainly make a solid case that it's worth giving some time to Francisco to see if he regains his closer gig. Do you have an end of the bench hitter or a crappy SP you could drop for Rauch?

Without a doubt I would do this. Rauch has looked good so far and has the stuff to be a good closer. Plus Nathan is out for the year. Francisco has the fire throwing Feliz pushing him so I think I would rather have Rauch at this point.

please help
