It'll be interesting to see how the KC hitters treat Dontrelle today.

I kind of concluded from yesterday that although they weren't able to handle Scherzer's "stuff", they weren't surprised by much and they fouled off a TON of pitches. Makes me wonder if they're going to be teeing off on the D-Train, as his stuff isn't nearly as deceptive as Max's.

Just when you start to feel good about Detroit.....they get shut down by Luke Hochevar and Brian freaking Bannister.

Dontrelle looking super meh today. Too many jams, lucky to have only given up 3 runs so far.

They've looked like crap against just about every starter they've gone up against this year.
But they're beating the crap out of every bullpen they're seeing too.

Bodes well for beating up on the weaker teams, but it also looks like they might struggle against teams with a deeper staff... which is probably exactly what Lambskin (and everybody else) expected. :p

But hey, I'll take it for right now. It looks good, even if they have only played KC and CLE. :p

Had to do a tally on the Tigers runs so far this season.

Through 8 games, 46 runs scored.

Innings 1-5 ------> 13 runs
Innings 6-9+ -----> 33 runs (including 8 in the 9th or later)

Obviously this isn't sustainable, and it wasn't any secret that the KC and CLE bullpens were bottom-end pitchers, but this actually has me a little worried. Well, as worried as you could be after a 6-2 start. :-B
