Is this dude for real?

SInce I do not want to run afoul of any overused terms in the Cafe I will not ask what your thoughts are. Instead I will ask what conjectures you may have about him and what your intutions and/or instincts tell you about this kid.

I am very surpised this team is scoring runs. :-*

Well, he was a highly touted prospect, they DFAed Cust, and Barton is batting 2nd. Conclusion: The A's seem to think enough of him and are likely happy he's started out the way they thought he would have 2 years ago. Now, they need Buck to produce.

Yeah, he was a former 2003 1st round pick out of HS from the Cardinals and many believed he was the main piece in the Mark Mulder deal, not Dan Haren, at the time. Yeah, if he hits his max he profiles as a high BA 18-20 HR type hitter.

Good stuff. Thanks. May do nicely in an H 2 H league that has struggled some with AVG. Also, has decent RBI's so far.

Thanks again. ;-D

Daric would be awesome in OBP leagues, but he's only really got 15 HR power at the moment.

His value is tied to Rajai Davis in a sense, because the more Rajai gets on base the more fastballs pitchers will be throwing at Barton.
