Justin Upton or Kershaw/Quentin ? WHIR

Postby Hustler8800 » Mon Apr 12, 2010 7:45 pm

12 Man yearly league, standard 5x5.
C - J. Clement
1B - M. Cabrera
2B - G. Beckham
3B - E. Longoria
SS - H. Ramirez
OF - N. Markakis
OF - A. McCutchen
OF - C. Quentin
OF - A. Rios
Util - J. Reyes
Util - J. Bruce
Bn - C. Davis
Bn - H. Kendrick

Sp - J. Verlander
Sp - U. Jiminez
Sp - R. Nolasco
Sp - C. Kershaw
Rp - M. Gonzalez
Rp - O. Dotel
P - B Matusz
P - I. Kennedy
Bn - R. Oswalt
Bn- W. Davis
Bn - J. Frasor
Bn - M. Lindstrom

The deal I can do is giving up: Kershaw, Quentin, and Dotel for Justin Upton.
I like having the big 4 starting pitchers, but is the upside that JUpton brings worth it?

Thanks.

I'm not sure if I would make the trade. Upton doesn't have a long track record. Neither does Quentin. Quentin nearly won MVP 2 years ago. Last year he had injury problems. What does he put up this year? He, potentially, could put up similar numbers to Upton if he's over last season's injuries. But if he doesn't, will the difference be worth what you're losing giving up Kershaw? I don't think it will be. I'd gamble with Quentin.

What are FAs you'd pick up or post fAs? Cuz that really completes the deal. That would give you an impressive OF the best overall keeper and player without giving up a ton and SP are volatile. I like this deal actually, especially if you can snatch some good young FAs wiht upside..

What is available?

Post FA RP, C, SP, and OF.
The best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be!
