Someone on your team just got sent to the DL. Magglio Ordonez is on waivers. Assess how good of a pickup he is.

Also keep in mind that the scoring is 5x5, with R HR RBI SB OB% as the categories. Head to head scoring, 10 teams, 24 man rosters.

Magglio should be owned in every league.

It's being noted how quick his bat speed is, that he's looking like the Magglio of '06-'07...if you believe color guy Rod Allen here in Detroit (and I do - the man knows his stuff). The biggest factor might just be how dominant Cabrera is looking, though. The protection Ordonez is enjoying by hitting in front of Cabrera (up until this year Maggs was the cleanup hitter; now he's #3) is HUGE. Ordonez certainly looks really good and I would certainly roster him. Just don't expect more than 25 HR's.

I don't buy much that Rod Allen says. Him and Mario are Fox Sports suits who refuse to criticize the Tigers regardless of how they are playing. That being said, Magglio was bound to be a solid bounce back option this year and I'm not surprised that he's found success so far.
