Carlos Gonzalez or Nolan Reimold

Postby gnarboots11 » Mon Apr 12, 2010 12:36 pm

I need to drop one of these dudes for Kuroda. I need to get Kuroda ASAP!! I know CarGo has some hammy tightness and pulled from the game yesterday but I dont think its going to be too serious, and Reimold's playing time has been a bit of a question mark and bats further down the order while CarGo leads off. Who is in for a better year of the two? It is a standard scoring 8x8 H2H league. Maybe I should just punt saves and drop Qualls of Krod, they are worthless and wasting roster spots.

Why in the world would you ever consider dropping Carlos Gonzalez? Punting categories is never a good option either...if you have to Kuroda for some reason, Reimold would be your move.

Do not drop Gonzalez. If you absolutely must have Kuroda, then Reimold is the one to drop. If you post your roster, there may be other candidates as well.

Any advice on my question is appreciated.

Let me sum up...

1. Do not drop Gonzalez

2. Drop Reimold if you have to.

3. Posting your roster makes this whole process easier.

C: Montero(dropped him for Chris Young now going catcherless)
1b: Ryan Howard
2b: Brandon Phillips
SS:Stephen Drew
3b: Longoria
OF: Grady Sizemore
OF: Carl Crawford
OF: Granderson
Util: Nelson Cruz
Util: Adam Jones
Bench: Heyward, Reimold, Carlos Gonzalez, Chris Young

SP: Kershaw, Gallardo, Ulbaldo Jimenez, Lackey, brett Anderson, Porcello
RP: Qualls, Krod

As you see I have a plethora is OF. This is a 8 teamer, yaya I know, 8 teamer is lame, I have tried to get the commish to expand the league but he wants to keep it with the original 8 friends. It is for money and I like taking these noobs casheesh.

Am I missing something? What is so special about Kuroda in a 8 team league? Your pitching is already good...even in a 12 team league I probably wouldnt drop either C Gon or Reimold for him...Its only the 1st Week...Reimold will play.

Here's a better idea: package Heyward or Reimold with one of your existing SP for a top-line SP. Sell Heyward now while everyone is so geeked on him. Or package him with Lackey and try to get a Lincecum or Greinke or something.

If you're looking for a pickup, I'd probably take a flier on a catcher before I'd grab another pitcher.

Doesn't sound like your league is too deep, so I'm guessing there's a KSuzuki, Clement, Barajas, or even a Martin on your wire.

Do NOT drop CoGo

Keep in mind that there has not yet been any word on how long MiMo will be out - and likely won't be until they're able to physically see how much damage he has and how he initially responds to rehab.
