Pick up Feliz? WHIR

Postby ROC AllStars » Mon Apr 12, 2010 9:11 am

Feliz has been named "temporary" closer for TEX. Is he worth a pickup? I'm looking to shore up my bullpen for the long run, is there any chance he secures the job on more than a "temporary" basis? If I pick him up, who should I drop?

10 team REDRAFT, points league. RP are virtually worthless unless they are getting saves.

1B: M. Cabrera
2B: I. Stewart

UTIL: D. Jeter
Bench: R. Martin, K. Johnson, C. Gonzalez, J. Pierre, B. Roberts (DL bound)

SP: D. Haren, J. Santana, J. Johnson, B. Anderson, W. Rodriguez, B. Penny, I. Kennedy
RP: B. Wagner, B. Jenks, O. Dotel
DL: B. Lidge

I do like Feliz lot, and he can put up good numbers even as a setup guy, but if saves are the only thing in your league that score points, I'd probably stick with the 3 RP you have.

Not sure how your SPs work, but I might dump Kennedy for him. You should be able to find similar SP's on the wire in a 10 team league later on.

Help if you can?
