drop Kazmir for Zito?

Postby RedBirdChica » Sun Apr 11, 2010 7:15 pm

I was going to wait to make a decision on Kaz until I saw him pitch this year ... but as Zito buzz is gaining momentum, I'm growing concerned that he's going to fly off of the waiver.

Should I execute on this swap? Or is there someone else more worthy of the axe? ((Feldman was my pickup when Street went on the DL))

Thanks in advance. WHIR 100% with full analysis.

I'd much rather have Kazmir over Zito. I think his upside is alot higher than Zito's this year. Zito did look good his first start but at the same time, it was against the Astros, who have scored 2 or less runs in 4 of their 6 games this year - so keep that in perspective. Definitely think Kazmir is worth holding onto to see how he's gonna fare this year.

Thanks for the reply on mine.

Id rather have Kazmir also. Zito did good, but his velocity is down and just doesn't have the potential Kazmir does. As long as Kazmir stays healthy he will be much more valuable to you in the long run.

gotta agree with ^

zito becomes fantasy relevant for about 1-2 months every year, just at usually a later date....Kazmir, somehow, still has the "upside" tag on him. zito does not. this early in year, gotta go with upside.

thx for help on mine
