he went for a mri what i have read on cbs sports. personaly not a varitek fan poor batting average ,olivo has over 20 homer potiental in my opinion in colorado even if he splits time but if you are looking for a fulltimer barajas gives you the ability of 20 + homers and 75 rbis batting over 250 . which isnt shabby.great start with 2 homers at citi field which isnt a great hitting park.

I know nothing about injuries, so how long would a tear of the meniscus treatment be? Should he be dropped now, or should he be kept on the DL?
I don't know the extent of it, but if there is one injury you don't want from Montero, or any fulltime catcher its a knee injury. This is not good knews because without being in the AL there is no DH slot, which means when he finally does return hes going to be catching again. Again not good news.
This sucks. Hope he comes back soon, I'm not sure what to do with him. As far as the OP goes, I would go with Barajas then Olivo (sucks Olivo is in a time-share considering how well he is playing).
