Can Rickie Weeks' strong start be trusted?

Four games in and Weeks is 4-13, 1 HR, 3 RBI, 3 R, 1 SB.

If he can just hit .275 and stay healthy he could be a nice asset at 2B with his mix of speed and power. And as long as he's been around, he's only 28, could this be a breakout season?

Or is he headed for another season in the .230s?

If he stays healthy, he can put up Brandon Phillips like numbers.
The figure you have to look at like 343, that is Rickie Weeks' 3 year average of AB's per season. He will certainly have ownable stretches this year, and if he can land 500+ ABs he is a legitimate 20/30 shot.

It's Rickie Weeks... of course he can't be trusted.

Best case scenario he puts up a 25/25 season, which would obviously be huge, no matter what the average.

Worst case scenario, you fight with him being day-to-day for the better part of three months and his .230 average absolutely f'ing kills your team and makes you want to stab him in the face with a shovel.

When you strap into a roller-coaster and it clicks all the way up to the top, you don't really expect it to stay there, do you?

Either get your hands up in the air and enjoy the ride, or close your eyes and hang on for dear life. Don't be the sissy that wants to get off when the ride is already going.

He can be trusted if he stays healthy. He is not the same player he was in the past though, he has shown real improvement over the past 2 seasons it isn't just a fluke.
