I'm reluctant to part with a good pitcher for a batter when I've got some promising upside batters already. Do you think he'd accept the trade if you dealt him riskier guys, like Ervin, Liriano, or Slowey?

I know he is interested in Slowey. I don't think he would go for just him. I could try Slowey/Mike Gonzalez since he needs a closer too. Would love to have that head case off my team :-b

If you can pull that off, I like the deal for you. You might have an OF glut though, especially if Rasmus and Pierre keep doing well.

Think I should just stay put? I've been feeling like I could use a bit more power, but do like my OF right now.

I'm leaning towards staying put. I love Ethier, but your outfield oozes upside. Ethier is more established than several of them, but CarGo and Rasmus have great potential, and Pierre is a nice 50-SB threat to complement the rest of your power hitting team. I love your pitching too, but if you take away one of your mid-level SPs like Garza, Hamels, or Nolasco to acquire him, I like it a lot less. I say stick with what you have. The only way I would want to deal with adding another OF'er is if I got a great value trade out of a frustrated Ethier owner, and then I would be looking to flip that into an OF for "better-than-what-you-traded-Ethier-for" trade.

Thanks for the help. I told him I was interested and if he wants to send me something. I'm not going to reach at all, but if I get a "wow" deal since he is in a bind I'll take a close look. For now I'll stay away though

You have a great OF. You might wanna look to get Ethier for the power numbers later on. Jones is a great player for obvious reasons of power, average, rbis, and average as well. He might be a tougher pick up though.

Please help me out..viewtopic.php?f=26&t=407211#wrap
