Our limit is 20 for the year. Too low for my taste, as I'd prefer 40 or 50. Deep benches make it tolerable. However, a low limit is still much, much better than no limit. I hate streaming!
We use 60 as I figured that was about 2 per week. It works well enough. I think we've had people hit the limit twice over 5 years, but we've had more people than that who hit the ASB with 35 or 40 so had to slow down.
0-3 to 4-3. Worst choke in the history of baseball. Enough said.
I've been in a variety of leagues like this. I'm currently in a league with a 50 Move Limit. I'm also in a league that charges $1 per Add, with no limit. I'm also in a H2H League with a limit of 2 Adds per week, but no total on the season. As long as you are accomplishing your goal, lots of different methods can work.
We have 3 moves a week and I really like it. Last year they put a cap of about 50 and people weren't able to make pickups towards the end of the season. With 3 per week it minimizes spot pitching and hitting a lot and makes you really think about your decisions. For instance I still have 2 acquisitions left for the week while almost everyone is maxed. There are some decent pitchers emerging and I now have a ton to pick from without having to worry until them getting taken before Monday.
