I'd stick with Hill for right now. It still early in the season and I'm sure there's going to be at least one 10-14 game winner that'll emerge that's currently sitting on waivers. It always happens!! Either way, you'll always be able to make moves. Give it a few more weeks!!

I like them too, im getting such mixed answers this is a tuffy(no homo). I really want my staff to be good, but if Hill has another year like he did last year im going to regret making htis trade.
Players are always overvalued at draft time you probably won't see any normal trades until after May, but in regards to that trade< I have a hard time trading offense for pitching unless I was getting a top 10 pitcher and Hill is a top 5 2B (a real shallow position) i only see Hill hitting about 25 homers thiss eason which is still good for him, but trading him does hurt your offense quite a bit, I might package McGehee and De La Rosa for Beckett (De La Rosa was never a prospect or a great pitcher until last year and he does play in Colorado) and us the empty spot to pick up Headley
I'd say no to the deal. Your pitching is OK and you could use an ace, but I'd prefer to wait it out for at least a few weeks and see how it pans out. While I don't believe Hill will repeat '08, he should have a really decent season (90-100 R/RBI, 20-25 HR, .280).

I've been reading a lot about how De La Rosa is going to have a beast year this year. His did absolutely ridiculous in pre-season. I would have to wait to see his 1st outting before I would trade him. Im all about a high k/9. I really dont wanna give up pitching, i feel like my pitching is weak as it is, and de la rosa is deffinately not my worst pitcher. I'd rather give up Sanchez.
Value-wise, its pretty close, and as a jays fan, I suspect hill won't be as good as last year. But, I'd rather go safe at the uber-shallow 2B spot and gamble with pitchers myself.

everyone is saying its so shallow, but i like johhnson, mcGehee, or headley. I think I could use the ace.

I'm betting there's a comparable or better list of pitchers on the wire aswell... Like I said, I think its a fair deal just that'd I'd be tempted to stick with hill myself.
