Alcides Escobar or Ian Desmond (WHIR)

5x5 Yahoo standard H2H. We drafted after opening day so we start with Week 2. Here's my roster:

C - Geovany Soto
1B - Joey Votto
2B - Gordon Beckham (3B)
3B - Ryan Zimmerman
SS - Ben Zobrist (2B, OF)
OF - Ryan Braun, B.J. Upton, Carlos Gonzalez
Util - Chris Coghlan (OF), Julio Borbon (OF)
BN - Chris Davis (1B, 3B)
DL - Lance Berkman

SP - Jon Lester, Yovanni Gallardo, Ubaldo Jimenez, Brett Anderson, Francisco Liriano, Stephen Strasburg, Max Scherzer, Brian Matusz
RP - Billy Wagner, Mike Gonzalez, John Rauch

With Berkman on the DL, I figure the biggest need I have right now is MI insurance. I'm stacked at SP, OF, and 1B. Adding a MI would give me some extra 3B depth too, since it would allow me to use Beckham as 3B insurance. Alcides Escobar and Ian Desmond are both available in the FA pool. So are Scott Sizemore and Kelly Johnson. Having Zobrist's multi-position eligibility means I don't really care whether the player plays 2B or SS, since I can move him freely between the two positions.

The other thought would be adding a third RP. Octavio Dotel, Matt Lindstrom, Matt Capps, and Ryan Madson are all set to clear waivers on April 8th.

I like Desmond because he's 2B/SS eligible and he does a little bit of everything.
