Thanks guys. I agree with you. Carpenter can end up being an ace for fantasy again, but he can also be near worthless. If this is shot down do I ask for a second SP with Morneau/Carpenter or just go 2 for 1?

I like the Carpenter suggestion, and I think it has the best chance of being accepted. Even though Yahoo and CBS rank Carp well above Wainwright, I found myself skipping over him and taking Wainwright. Carpenter is too big a risk to blow an early pick on.

Thanks for the advice

Yeh, afraid to say Carpenter is the only SP who has a shot to get the deal for you. Garza would be tempting but no way it would go down.

I would not do it with Carpenter, I would much rather have Carpernter and Morneau over Albert.

The Garza trade was declined. Would you try Morneau/Carpenter for Pujols and maybe Edwin Jackson?

Offered Morneau/Carpenter for Pujols/E.Jackson. If it is declined I guess it would be pointless to send another offer not including Jackson, he is ok but not much.

I think its gonna take morneau and an elite SP to get pujols (with a lesser SP tossed in) and even then expect it to get rejected. Pujols-owners are gonna need to be overwhelmed to give up the best guy in fantasyland.

It would take Morneau + whichever of your SPs he likes most (Carp or Hamels most likely), and even then there is no gurantee he would take it. That being said, it is worth a shot because Pujols is unbelievable, and your SPs look fairly strong. Losing Carp or Hamels won't hurt you nearly as much as picking up Pujols will help you ;-D

I can see what you're saying. I had ARod at the beginning of the season and refused to do a trade that didn't involve someone of first round status (Utley).

If I had Pujols, I would turn down Morneau/Carp for him in a simple 2-1 trade. It's a fair offer, but I always want the best player in a deal. Honestly, to get Pujols you would probably have to over-pay.
