I don't necessarily agree that you're getting the two best guys in the deal, because I still think CarGo can outperform (or at least equal) Ethier. That said, improving from De La Rosa to Cain makes this much more palatable. I still hesitate a little as I think you're giving up some great upside in CarGo/Blanks/Alcides, especially in a keeper. It's close, though.

I am very big on Car-Go and Blanks but i like this deal for you as long as it's not a long term league. Great job finding the guy in your league who feeds off Rookie and Sophomore hype and running away with his proven studs.
Conner Jackson might make a reasonable comeback as well. He won't be a stud, but not an embarrassment either.
Edit: Just saw that it's a keeper league... but the players you are getting are young enough that it doesn't change my opinion.

I tried to respond to your PM but I don't think it sent. I'd still do the trade. Carlos Gomez had a nice first game but this is still the guy who was thrown out in one third of his stolen base attempts, and had a 6:1 strikeout rate last season. I'm not buying it. I think he's garbage and I'd would drop him easily.
I'd say Ethier is the more secure player than CarGo and I do think DLR has a chance of outproducing Cain. The deal in itself is OK and based on value, you're getting the better end, but it's pretty close.
