Someone dropped Berkman (WHIR)

Postby toobitter » Wed Apr 07, 2010 9:17 pm

10 team, mixed Head to Head league

So Lance Berkman is on the wire for tomorrow.
I currently have the #1 slot in the waiver order.

Should I use it on Berkman?
I'm currently lacking in the power categories, however, I also have a glaring hole in OF. Do I waste this wire slot on yet another 1B when I already have 3 straight up 1B and 3 guys who are 1B eligible.

Here's my current roster.

C/1B - V. Martinez
C - K. Suzuki
1B - P. Fielder
1B - C. Davis
2B/3B - I. Stewart
2B - S. Sizemore
2B/1B/3B - M. Prado
3B/1B - K. Youkilis
SS - J. Rollins
SS - A. Escobar
1B - J. Votto
OF - Adam Jones
OF - T. Hunter
OF - S. Victorino
OF - N. McLouth
OF - N. Reimold

SP - T. Lincecum
SP - J. Vazquez
SP - W. Rodriguez
SP - M. Garza
SP - J. De La Rosa
SP - B. Sheets
RP - R. Soriano
RP - D. Aardsma
RP - M. Lindstrom
DL - RP B. Lidge

I'd do it, I always grab the best available players and then trade to fill needs later.

Say bye bye to Scott Sizemore. The Tigers have no offense a side from Miggy anyway and what sort of impact can a rookie 2nd baseman make on a team like that anyway. Gotta get Berkman, he'll be fine.

Do you get to play a Util or CI? I'd have a tough time passing on Berkman with my WW priority. I doubt a better OF will hit the wire soon - worst case once Berkman is back you can trade for an OF

Do it and drop Sizemore.
