Morneau for Verlander? *WHIR* obv

Postby Yankeesin05 » Wed Apr 07, 2010 6:45 pm

It's a 16 team H2H Yahoo dynasty league. We're in the 5th year of the dynasty where we keep 16 players. I first offered Morales for Verlander, but he countered with Morneau for Verlander. Can/should I make this trade? I feel like I have a enough big bats in my lineup, that I should be able take the hit. And my SP is just so lacking, that I need some real help. Is getting Verlander back enough value for Morneau?

I'm prediciting a pretty big year for Morneau, but I do think a Morneau - Verlander trade is fair. You could definitely use the help at SP, and have Morales to play 1B. You might first want to see if he'll do a 2-for-2 which improves you slightly somewhere else, but if not, I'd still consider it straight up.

I agree with the previous poster.
Getting Verlander would be a huge boost for your rotation, but seeing if you could get some offense back in the deal might be a good place to start.

lil' help

Thanks for the reply. I left this trade open But then I also offered Morneau/Zambrano for Verlander/Stewart. Idk if he'll take it. Should I have offered someone other than Zambrano? I don't wanna get too crazy with it though.

i say deffinately do it. Your lineup is very strong, unlike your pitching. Verlander will make your team a lot more well rounded.
