A trade offer: Lackey & Nolasco for Kershaw & Chin Soo-Choo

Postby SoTaguchi » Wed Apr 07, 2010 2:21 pm

I've got a offer for John Lackey & Rick Nolasco, and would receive Kershaw & Chin Soo-Choo.

I really like Kershaw, but Chin Soo-Choo?! I would hate to give up Nolasco.

I don't do that deal, especially in a league that counts innings pitched. Kershaw didn't go deep into games last year.

Hard to comment without seeing your roster, but I'd stick with Lackey and Nolasco unless you are desperate for a middling OFer.

Without seeing a roster, just based on pure value I say I would take this deal.

Nolasco is in a good year, and everyone is buying that, as am I, but I don't think that it is even a real drop going from Ricky to Clayton. I see Kershaw throwing 195 innings, winning 14 and King 200+ with a much better ERA then Nolasco. Also if you think that there is a drop there thats of signifigance then the value added from Lackey to Choo greatly makes up for that.

I see it as Nolasco=Kershaw and Choo>>>Lackey. Choo has a bit of a higher K amount, but is definitely serviceable, and makes up for that in this league with his high BB rate, and this is a strong 20/20 guy who could bat close to .300 (I predict around .285-.290). Again with out seeing your roster I would take this deal simply because of the upgrade with Choo.

Great thanks to soto for the sweet sig!...
