It probably will be negative for this year but positive in the future. It depends on how committed you are to play long-term. Your team is really young and has lots of talent but might not be a top team this year anyway so I'd probably lean toward doing it.

I'd pass on this. Strasburg may be the greatest thing since sliced bread, but CC is already a top 5 starter and plays on the best team (or one of the best teams) in baseball. Strasburg's W totals will be limited while he's stuck on the Nationals...keep CC.

Straight up? Not so much, even for dynasty. However, if you can get him to pad the offer, possibly offlaod someone else older and kinda meh for another solid youngster then maybe I start to consider it. It would need to be a sizable upgrade too, I'm not talking about moving up from flaming poop in a bag to just poop in a bag.

I am passing on this deal straight up. CC is top 5 pitcher in baseball right now. While Strassburg is one of the best prospects in a while, realistically even highest expectations over the next year or two would have him given you the same production that CC is giving you right now.
No I think he will have to throw in another legit piece to the trade in order for you to take on the risk that Strasburg, like any other prospect, could be a bust or blow out his shoulder, etc.etc.
